Kori and I after our first class!

Last October, I decided that I wanted to become one of the cool kids that went to spin classes. So I signed up! Not knowing what to expect I invited my good friend, Kori so I wouldn’t be the only one that didn’t know what I was doing.

My spin class was at a local fitness boutique, The Ride House. I had heard they had a great facility with banging music, cool lighting effects, and badass instructors. Walking into any fitness studio for the first time can be intimidating. Fortunately, The Ride House staff were all so welcoming and friendly to show me around, help me set up my bike and teach me the “spin lingo” before class got started. This would be the studio I would recommend to anyone that is looking to get started with spinning…you gain more than fitness, you get a second family.

Spin is so much more than just an exercise routine, it becomes a journey both mentally and physically. It is inspiring how much you can learn so much about your body/mind and what it can do in just 45 minutes. You also learn to let go of all the things that are holding you back. Spin is an art. It has the power to mold you into the person you want to become.

So what are you waiting for? Invite a friend and give it a try, you will be so glad that you did!

I will be on the podium soon, so stay tuned! in the meantime, go ride with all my friends!!
